Century Farm Awards 2024
In May the farm was recognised as a Century Farm at The New Zealand Century Farm and Station Awards held annually in Lawrence. To be a recipient the land must have been owned and worked by the family for 100 years or more. The whole of Lawrence gets behind the event for the awards weekend billeting recipients, running tours of the surrounding area and gold fields, and pitching in to host the Friday night function and Awards dinner. This year 41 families were recognised with the farm being the only recipient from the Bay of Plenty. Neil, Sue, Matt, Peter, and Geoff attended the awards dinner to receive the bronze plaque.
