The dairy system is predominantly pasture based with supplements of grass silage, PKE, maize silage and cereal based meal being used. 2200 cows are wintered and milked through four sheds, 3 40-aside herringbones and a 54 bale rotary. Herd managers and 2IC’s are employed for the daily running of each shed. Cows are Jersey/ Friesian cross with an emphasis on breeding for facial eczema tolerance.
